It may be the same thing, but there’s a version of this that can yield the diagnosis that you’re dead. People have regained their ability to move again while laying in morgues or being rolled away in one of those crime scene style body bags.

How many people throughout history watched as they were laid in a coffin and buried, only to overcome paralysis underground?

agh. i read a story when I was like 8 or 9 about cases of people being mistaken for dead and then buried, which i know is why i now have an extreme phobia about being buried alive. seriously, blergh. to all who know/care about me: if I am ever in a coma, fuck it and pull that goddamn plug. or just to make goddamn sure i don’t wake up in a coffin 6 goddamn feet under, if you have any inkling i’m dead, i command you to chop off my head just to make sure. like some real Highlander shit. serioulsy, all of you make a pact right now.
